RIP Tony Todd. They let him write his final lines as a goodbye He knew this was likely his last scene since he was terminal.

the puns and foreshadowing in this movie are so fun lol "you're tearing me apart" from the elevator guy, "don't let my mother derail your life" to the main character, and "if he loves you he won't let go" to young Iris and probably more I haven't spotted

Small point about the champagne because almost every reactor comments on Iris' willingness to drink: it wasn't until 1981 that the US Surgeon General recommended women abstain from alcohol consumption. It's wild that something that is common knowledge today would not have been a consideration in 1969. 🥂

The one thing I love about the trash death is that it happened exactly as she said it would. Just not to the person she thought.

I am so happy with how they treated Tony's character. When I heard they were going to "explain" him, I honestly thought they were going to make him into some mystical shit. But no, they stayed grounded and just made him a human who survived and understood he was safe so long so she was still alive.

Also little FYI; Tony Todd's last words were his own. It wasn't scripted he was asked what he wanted to say.

I always love the "it does that sometimes," with the elevator 😂.
Like my brother, you just opened up! If the elevator isn't working correctly already, how do you trust anything in the building 😂

Everybody applauded when the kid got crushed by the piano it was hilarious 😂 and Eric is probably the best written and most likeable character out of the whole franchise! His MRI death is one of the most brutal and will become iconic for sure 😂😂
