  I&apos;ll never understand why cops and CPS ask kids about suspected abuse IN FRONT of the potential abuser. IF COURSE the kid&apos;s going to lie and say everything&apos;s fine in front of the people committing and/or enabling the abuse

  This story is textbook examples of why you never question the child with adults around and you always separate victims and children should be automatically treated as victims bc seriously 😒 how low of a percentage will speak out against their guardians…

  Therapist here, just an FYI for any kids out there, if you have to lie about your parents&apos; actions towards you to the police or authority figures, then their actions might be abusive. It is so important to tell a trusted adult about what is happening. If you tell one adult and they do not listen or help, tell another adult. You deserve help and protection, not abuse.

  Victims of abuse rarely report because most of the time, the abuser gets a slap on the wrist at most and then retaliates against the victim… so then things are just made worse. I’ve lived it, and lied many times to avoid get worse when everyone is gone.

  My mother treated me different than my siblings and emotionally abused, isolated and sometimes physically and medically abused me as well. Found out when I was 59 years old through DNA that I was an affair baby. The old lady was punishing me for her bad behavior.

  I had called CPS on friends of mine for abusing their daughter. They gave the daughter back and believed the parents. A few months later the girl&apos;s mother beat her face black and blue and was actively strangling her to death when the mother&apos;s mother-in-law came in and caught her in the act. Sad it had to happen that way, but glad to say they lost custody and the abuser went to prison. The system fails when it comes to actual abusers.
