Fall Asleep To Everything Endgame Encore Revealed About Doomsday

This video explains what the Avengers: Endgame re-release bonus footage and the 2026 Endgame Encore scenes revealed about Marvel Studios' path to Avengers: Doomsday and Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. It begins with the June 28, 2019 Bring Back event, when Marvel returned Endgame to theaters with about six minutes of extra footage to pass Avatar's worldwide box office record. It then examines the production record behind the Encore's new Doctor Doom scenes, from the hammer-to-mask transition to Andy Park's concept art. The final section traces how the Multiverse Saga's Kang plan unraveled and why Marvel turned to Doom. What's covered in this video: Kevin Feige announced the re-release during the Spider-Man: Far From Home press junket and said it would not be an extended cut. The bonus reel opened with an introduction from co-director Anthony Russo, aimed at fans who were returning to see the film again. A Stan Lee tribute used unseen B-roll of his cameos, with reflections from Jon Favreau and James Gunn. A deleted scene showed Mark Ruffalo's Smart Hulk saving civilians from a burning building with unfinished effects, then answering Steve Rogers with "Steve who?" The reel ended with a Spider-Man: Far From Home sneak peek, so Endgame's return also promoted the next film. At San Diego Comic-Con on July 20, 2019, Feige announced Endgame had passed Avatar by roughly half a million dollars, and James Cameron congratulated it with a Na'vi-themed graphic. The Encore post-credits scene turns Tony Stark's cave hammering into Victor Von Doom forging his mask, which Downey summed up as "New mask, same task." A mid-credits scene shows Doom confronting Bruce Banner in an underground military complex and leaving glowing Latverian runes on the floor. Andy Park's July 11, 2026 concept art shows Doom's metal mask, green hooded cloak and chainmail, with nods to Jonathan Hickman's Secret Wars and Battleworld. Joe Russo said lines in the 2019 film were written as deliberate clues for Avengers: Doomsday. The time heist, Loki, the Time Variance Authority and He Who Remains set up Kang the Conqueror as the villain of the Multiverse Saga. Quantumania earned $476.1 million with a record 69.8 percent second weekend drop, and Marvel fired Jonathan Majors on December 18, 2023, the day of his verdict. Feige later said "Kang wasn't big enough" and that casting Downey as Doom was discussed before Majors' legal troubles became public.
