  As a bartender in Hong Kong, the times I've heard "Oh, I'm just working here for a 3yr contract"...And I see the same person several years later (try15 or 20) they have kids a mortgage. Yeah, Asia in general is very seductive in its convenience, standard of living, not just China. I still have expat friends that lament the lack of convenience they had in Asia when they moved back home....Cheap public transports, cheap groceries, healthcare, the ease of paying with just their phones for everything.....

  You are the first person ever I hear this what I try to tell my students here in Norway. Being curious, &nbsp;never make the mistake of comparing. Watch out for assumptions. Just be curious and you can live a good live nearly everywhere. And China has so much to offer. So many beautiful areas and places. It will take a lifetime to explore the huge country. <br>Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻☯️🌹🕊️

  As my expatriate experience, the top advantage is security no homeless no issue in dark because of very low crime rate.

  Orthopaedic Dr, Occupation therapist and Chiropractor will tell you that hard bed is better for spine than soft mattress. In fact, very soft mattress may actually injure your spine.<br><br>BTW, FYI squatting toilet is more hygienic and healthier for your muscles. &nbsp;It prepares you for old age mobility.

  Living in China for 12 years and almost 18 in Asia overall I can say it will forever change you. If and when you do come back to the U.S. you will feel as if you are an outsider much of the time as your perceptive of the world has changed or evolved so much. I think you are right, it would be such a wonderful experience for many young people to experience it. Even if only a couple of years.
