This was true for dating pretty much any year prior to 2000. I dated my wife during the late 80s/early 90s and all of these things were absolutely true then. I'm very grateful that we dated in the "analog" era.

Ahhh would love to bring all that back! Never been on a dating app and prefer the real thing anyday! I miss all 20 things for sure.

For some reason I was just thinking about dating when I was in the seventies in high school and out of high school and how much fun it was call and they say you want to go out for dinner and a movie and you say yes and they pick you up and open the door for you and take put your coat on for you and pull back your chair and you had a conversation over dinner about how was your day what do you like to do what's your favorite music what do you do to have fun and you go see a movie and then you talked about it later and you went home but it was such a nice relaxing time getting to know somebody.
