Hello, My name is Pratigya. I am Nepalese but I was married to someone from Cape Town once upon a time. I feel very close to South Africa and the people there. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. We pray that she is safe. We are all shocked and grief stricken here. The flash floods came without a warning on a perfectly normal, sunny morning. However, it is still the monsoons and most of us postpone travel and holiday plans till after because geographically, we are a landlocked mountaineous country - always ravaged by natural calamities of all sorts, especially earthquakes, floods and landslides. Please know that everyone is praying for you and for all the families and victims. This is one of the worst floods we have ever seen.
