  So glad you mentioned the reVox C270. I have a number of open reel decks, and I&apos;d have to say my C270 is the best one I own. <br>I also own a Teac A3300SX-2T, two Sony TC-352Ds, an Akai 4000DS MK2, a reVox PR99, and a Byer 66 (Australian professional tube deck from 1957).

  Great to see a video on genuine professional tape machines. As a collector and restorer of these machines I have two Ampex ATR-104s, an Otari MTR-12, and a Sony APR-5003 among others in my collection. Currently I&apos;m restoring an Optronics 1000, 16 track, 2&quot; multitrack machine. I don&apos;t think Optronics sold any machines outside of Australia and the production numbers were low. However, many Australian hits of the 70&apos;s and 80&apos;s were recorded on the 16 and 24 track versions of this machine.

  Speaking of Lyrec, Vangelis had a Lyrec TR-532 24 track machine and mixed down to an Ampex ATR-100. &nbsp;Oh, and he used DBX noise reduction for the 24 track, and then Dolby A for the 2 track mixdown.

Great video. &nbsp;I would like to add about the Sony APR5003v, I was a factory assembler technician in Fort Lauderdale Florida Sony Professional Products Company from 1988-1990 at the old SONY/MCI factory and we moved factory production to Boca Raton in 1991. I dont know if any were made in Japan but we certainly made them in USA. Also, the &quot;automatic&quot; alignment was alignment storage not self alignment. Great machines I wish more people knew about. Thanks for the recognition!

  The Revox A-77 which I bought in 1971 (half track, 7.5/15) is still working well. Three head replacements.
