Adler is the American Dragovich. He’s also learned from him. Mason remembered the base in BO1 and allowed the N6 plan to be stopped. Adler lies about his past, does not fully brief others and ruthlessly cuts off loose ends. Bell and the doctor in 6 can’t tell others what they told him if they’re dead. Adler serves US interests and is only good if you look at it through that lens. If you played a Russian Black Ops campaign? Adler would be a terrifying antagonist.

Adler is like, your average irl CIA case officer lol. I actually enjoy his character because it's relatively accurate (This goes for any country's intelligence agency case officers, not even just the US). I'm honestly surprised so many people miss this

He’s the villain with the blue name and the good guy with the red name simultaneously.

Adler is my favourite character they've added since the 2010's.

Bell had Adlers memories there no way he’s leaving him alive, I think they’ve left Adler so mysterious on purpose, it means there’s very little canon background to tie him to, and that gives them scope to create new storylines and inject him into it however they want, theyre keeping their options open while they’re toying with us.

4:20 Killing Bell is a betrayal sounds evil but Adler was actually ordered by Hudson to kill Bell to clean up loose ends.

What I can say about about Adler is this:

He helps people who are useful to him, and get rid of them if they are a liability.

Poor bell😢

I think Russel Adlers nick name “the American made monster” sums up his character perfectly a monster is neither good nor bad it just does what it needs to survive
