Love your videos. We were on the Celebrity Eclipse in March 2020--an "extended" vacation. A lady named Jenny--we nicknamed her "Flash"--walked the track constantly for hours. We came to know her, and love her. She was almost 90 years old and didn't want to gain any weight on the cruise. We thought she was 70'ish.

My knee was bone on bone for 2 years. Cortisone and gel injections didn’t help. I finally realized the only solution would be total knee replacement. I did a month of pre-hab exercises to help strength all the muscles surrounding the knee which paid off. I had an amazing recovery, and I’m doing great. When you’re ready to have the surgery, you’ll know it. Wishing you good luck on your health journey. And congrats on your weight loss!

We just got off a 21 day South Pacific cruise. We ate mainly in the dinning room. Mainly two meals a day. Fruit for dessert. Walked the stairs and walking the ship. Did not drink alcohol as much. I drank lots of water. Our main meals was lunch and dinner .

Thanks for the video update friends. I know for my wife and I, we book cruise cabins near the stairwell and never use the elevator. It may not sound like much, but when you climb from the promenade on deck 5 to your cabin on deck 9, or the WJ on deck 15. Up and down all day will burn calories, build muscle, and help the joints.

Hi, I have just discovered your channel and am thoroughly enjoying it. As a person who has had both knees replaced due to a bone on bone situation, may I say to you don't be afraid of surgery. I was in my mid sixties when I had both knee replacement operations, a year apart. I was just like you having problems with stairs and getting up from a sitting position. I won't deny that I had a few weeks of severe discomfort after the surgery but now five years later I am a new person. No more pain on stairs and I have no difficulty getting up from a sitting position. I consider my decision to have the surgery a wise one. Now all I have to address is my back situation as I suffer from scoliosis and arthritis. I am not into cruising but I do have a motorhome and have had many of them over twenty five years so I am looking forward to following your adventures in "Gracie". Best wishes from Ireland❤

I applaud you Nancy, for really understanding the importance of a healthy diet, exercising and obtaining a normal weight for your height. Everything you have said is accurate. I am much older than you, at 74, and have devoted myself to a healthy lifestyle for decades. That has included lots of exercise ( strength training and high level cardio) , no alcohol, and eating two meals daily. I know that my obsession with eating healthy and working out is probably way more than most people do, but you will reap the benefits of your resolve, not only in your appearance, but in your health. It will happen. Do not give up! I hope that you update us on your progress! Health is everything, especially as you age!

Oh Nancy, I cannot tell you how happy I am that I had both my knees replaced. First one 9/30/24 & second one 2:5.25♥️🥳
I’m so excited that my pain is almost nothing. My left knee (2nd one) is 4 mo Ty’s behind my right, so I still ice it a little with just a gel pack thing. But oh my gosh, you can’t imagine what it is like to just walk around & to be able to stand and talk to people or just make a meal. I feel like I e been given my life back.

I did the shots for years & when they quit working. They really quit working. My fantastic surgeon told me I’d know when I was ready to do the surgery, and he was right. I just was so sick of not being able to do anything without loads of pain.
I too was very scared to do the surgery. Orthopedic surgery is … well, you’re a nurse, you know. I just prayed & kept my eyes closed as they wheeled me in to surgery. Everyone was so amazing and kind. I chose to do the spinal, so my after surgery experience was fantastic.

The first two weeks after surgery are a little challenging gong, but your doctor gives you the meds you need to take care of the pain!!! It’s just that you will have swelling, so and I e machine (Amazon) is so so helpful. I literally iced 20 minutes of every waking hour. I did it at the top of the hour, so I would remember to do it. PT was super helpful too. I just feel like God took care to give me amazing people from my surgeon to my sweet PT. I have my last appointment in two weeks.

Dating a prayer for you that you too will know. I can’t wait for you to feel great again and pain free from your knees. ♥️🙏🏻♥️

My mother received a knee replacement surgery at 80 and was mad that she waited so long - it helped her so much. Once it’s bone on bone there really isn’t much you can do other than surgery.
