“Worship is not an activity you just do, it’s you partnering with the Holy Spirit and what he’s doing“

This is such an excellent teaching. Thank you for encouraging us to get in that private space with the Lord. It's like going into the dark room to develop a picture. The alone time is necessary to learn to hear His voice. Ty.

Such a great conversation by three people I deeply respect. One other thing that came to mind; the vision isn't only to lead people the Lord's presence for 20 minutes, but to lead them to a 24/7 life of worship. Every song we introduce to the rotation is a word of exhortation or encouragement and a call to relationship with Him for all the hours we aren't in church. No different from an evangelist, we're planting seed and the Lord will produce a harvest!

“You have to contend for YOUR OWN intimacy first.” “Your engagement personally is going to effect your execution publicly”

It’s so easy to miss this if you’re a young worship leader, ESPECIALLY with the amount of leadership opportunities that are available. If you’re leading without private devotion and true anointing from God, then it’s empty and worthless. Psalm 50:11-14 is clear, God doesn’t want empty sacrifices, He wants your heart and your heart complete. You can’t lead worship healthily for 30 years if you never step into it privately.

Great conversation, love this house🫶🏼

I love this teaching. But I love most, is intimacy with God is more individualized during the week, to be in tuned to the Holy Spirit. You can’t wait til church service to flow. (I may be saying it right) but I love this point. ❤
Thank you sooo much! 👏👏👏

Great conversation of leadership in worship

You posted this 3 years ago but it was sent to me today at the perfect time in my ministry where God is directing our team to help connect our congregation deeper with Holy Spirit. It is a season of exciting changes in my church and this message gave me practical words to inspire my team. Thank you. Blessings!

As a worship leader for years of my life, I love listening to this conversation. One thing I have a different opinion on is the time limit. The 20 min of worship. We don't go by time. I would allow the Holy Spirit to lead. He may lead it for 2 mins or 20 mins or even 2 hours. One service we started with worship and it took us the whole service of worship only. Worshipping God shouldn't have a time limit. If you love God anyways you wouldn't care how long it takes, in saying this not saying take forever every Sunday service, I'm saying allow the Holy spirit to lead however long it takes
