1. **Q: I don't see the Passwords app on my iPhone — where is it?**A: You need iOS 18 or newer. Update in Settings → General → Software Update. After updating, the Passwords app will appear on your Home Screen or in the Utilities folder of your App Library. You can also pull down on the Home Screen and search "Passwords" to find it.
2. **Q: Will my passwords sync between my iPhone and Mac?**A: Yes, as long as you're signed in to the same Apple Account on both devices and Passwords & Keychain is turned on in iCloud settings. Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Passwords and Keychain.
3. **Q: Is the Apple Passwords app actually safe?**A: Yes. Everything is end-to-end encrypted, protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, and Apple itself can't see your passwords. It's a real password manager — not a stripped-down feature.
4. **Q: Can I use Apple Passwords on Windows?**A: Yes. Install iCloud for Windows, sign in, and install the iCloud Passwords browser extension for Chrome or Edge. Passkeys aren't supported on Windows yet, but your regular passwords will autofill.
5. **Q: Should I switch from 1Password or LastPass to Apple Passwords?**A: If you live entirely in the Apple ecosystem and don't need advanced features like document storage or business sharing, Apple Passwords is more than enough — and free. You can import your existing passwords from a CSV inside the app.
6. **Q: Did I miss anything in the video? Drop your question below 👇**I read every comment and reply when I can.

This the second site I've been to that went through reams of information, and skipped over the part where you actually use with an app you already have on you phone.

I just switched over from an andrioid. While I like short vidoes this one totaly confused me. Too short, speaker is talking too fast, and I found myself constantly having to stop, back up the video and start over. not my kind of beginner video
