Hi everyone! Just a gentle reminder to be kind in the comments towards Dilly. There are many ways to do things in life, and at the end of the day we’re doing a good job on this. I’m very grateful that Dilly took on this job because if it weren’t for him, I likely wouldn’t be adding this addition on the house. It’s not something I’d want to do on my own, nor something I could afford to hire out to a company. So let’s all give Dilly a round of applause 💝

I can't tell you how many times during the Cliff Cabin build I'd be talking to the screen telling how to solve a problem, only for you to arrive at the same solution yourself. Don't sell yourself short, as even when working on your own you have more experience than you may realize. Also, any two carpenters will have different ways of doing the same thing, and they will both be correct. I enjoy working with someone who thinks differently than I do as they come up with ideas I'd not have thought of, and vice versa. In construction, there's always several ways to do both things. Add in a non-square or level old house, and you have your work cut out for you. Looks great so far!

“Dilly, AKA Kenny but his real name is Greg.”

It takes a hell of a personality to get two nicknames.

Michelle, this has been highly entertaining. It’s interesting seeing you doing the work that I used to do on very old homes in New England. Renovation work is so much more difficult to do than new construction. Just as a point of concern for your hips, those nice nail bags that you have get a pair of carpenter suspenders, and put on them. It’ll take the weight off of your hips and put it onto your shoulders. My old nail bags and suspenders are hanging up in my garage even though I’m retired. It’s nice to see something that was part of my life for 40 years. You’re blessed to have dilly at your disposal to help you when you need professional help . I remember when he was helping on the deck of the big house. Keep up the great work and say hey to Steve..

My knees got sore just watching you put the plywood down without kneepads. Great content. Thx.

If I was in Dilly's place I doubt that I could concentrate on getting anything square due to the curves of heaven's gate at close proximity.😂

WOW!!!!!!! Can a man and a women ever be on the same page? They're from Venus, and we're from Mars. I think you guys worked it out greatly. I know there are codes and all, but sometimes a different point of view can compliment situations. Well done guys. Can't wait to see the walls go up. Thanks for letting me hang around you guys, at least I didn't get in your way. Sending cooler temps your way💯💯💯🤞🤞🤞🤞👍

Great job Michy! Note: There are experienced carpenters out there building bent, warped and crooked new houses that then have to be fixed. Working as a team comes with time. This addition project is coming together. Dilly is fine and is funny and reminds me of guys I've worked with, "Faaaaack! The bolts are too low". 🤣 I'd have tried taking a string line from the front corner of the foundation all the way back to the end corner of the addition then 90* off of that to establish square. There is no one right way.
