I Slept INSIDE a Fallen Tree in the Forest

  I love the dilemma of wanting a fallen tree to sleep in, but not wanting to sleep in an area where trees fall.

  I know this seems crazy, but if you take about one scoop of coffee and take some aluminum foil, shape the foil into a sort of cup shape and place the coffee grounds into it, then burn the coffee until it starts smoking, it helps to greatly reduce insects coming around camp. This is a cheap and fairly easy way to reduce bugs, and if you drink coffee it has double the value to your wild camp.<br><br>I usually have two coffee cups burning around my camp, and it works well for me.

  I gave up on inflatable pillows a long long time ago, a good quality Down Cushion is soo much better and more comfortable

  As a child, you were taught not to be under a fallen tree. It&apos;s unlikely if it&apos;s a large, healthy tree, but if the trunk breaks, the root can stand up again.

  As a kid, I used to find fallen trees near the farm. It was fun and I learned a lot but the one thing I hated the most was the fact that all sort of creepy crawlies usually called fallen trees home too. I absolutely hate bugs crawling on me.

  You do learn most from mistakes Katie! As a decades long contacts wearer, sleeping with them in is not ideal, but its doable as long as you don&apos;t take them out for a couple of hours after you wake up (as long as you value the top layer of your eyeballs). Great shelter and great video! 😁
