https://tinyhousebt.com/de/hompage-de/ The Tiny House Fair in Karlsruhe 2026 presents itself as a vibrant showcase for a housing revolution that reconciles flexibility and aesthetics in the smallest of spaces. Amidst this abundance of innovation, the Maxi model from Bar-Tof makes a striking statement. The family business is run by owner Kamil, who has been rooted in Bavaria for a decade and thus perfectly combines German quality standards with the advantages of efficient production. The Maxi's design immediately catches the eye: The characteristic, rounded roof shape charmingly evokes the silhouette of a classic steam locomotive. This deliberate design is not merely aesthetically pleasing but represents a clear distinction from the often functionally sterile, boxy architecture of many competitors. Mobile homes like this are no longer just a gimmick; they offer a technically sophisticated solution to the need for cost-effective living space that combines mobility and lasting comfort in a turnkey package. This technological maturity is primarily evident in its consistent design, which complies with building regulations. With a length of ten meters and a width of 3.20 meters, the Maxi model exceeds the dimensions that would allow for simple road registration for trailer use. However, this is a strategic advantage: since the house must therefore comply with German building regulations for regular residential buildings, Bar-Tof provides all the necessary structural stability and energy efficiency certificates directly. Manufactured according to the demanding Efficiency House Standard 55, the Maxi meets the requirements for official building permits and year-round use as a primary residence. This distinguishes it from simple mobile homes and offers the legal security of a permanent property. Beyond simply meeting regulations, the Maxi model offers impressive design depth that puts the concept of outdoor living at the forefront. For example, its architectural flexibility allows the roof pitch to be adjusted to 35 degrees to comply with the specific requirements of local zoning regulations. Customers can also choose from a variety of facade materials, such as durable thermally modified wood or modern sheet metal. The Maxi's expandability is particularly appealing, thanks to custom-designed WPC terraces or glazed vestibules that not only act as a buffer against wind and snow but also organically enlarge the living space. Additional floor-to-ceiling windows and awnings can be integrated upon request to seamlessly blend the interior with the outdoors and maximize the living experience. The Maxi's interior reflects this high standard of functionality and comfort. The clever layout with two separate bedrooms offers ample space for small families or the creation of a high-quality home office. The fully equipped bathroom features a convenient washer-dryer, while the kitchen, with its induction cooktop, dishwasher, and extractor hood, meets the standards of a classic single-family home. A key technical highlight is the climate control system: A modern air-to-air heat pump with two indoor units ensures that different living areas can be heated or cooled independently and with high efficiency. This is complemented by three-zone underfloor heating with separate heating mats. Even extreme cold spells are taken care of, as a special, thermostat-controlled heating system reliably protects the outdoor boiler from frost damage as soon as the temperature drops below a critical level. This energy efficiency extends to the robust construction of the walls. Built using traditional timber frame construction, the house utilizes a combination of durable thermally modified pine on the exterior facade, highly efficient PIR foam insulation, and an aluminum foil vapor barrier. Inside, elegant spruce wood creates a natural atmosphere. For those seeking even greater energy independence, the house can also be equipped with photovoltaic modules on the roof, enabling largely self-sufficient energy use in conjunction with appropriate storage systems.
