  The entire thing about the college boy pressuring his high school girlfriend to have sex with him "eventually" is so repulsive. Like not even because of the age gap. Stressing your partner out over intimacy is unacceptable.

  meg cabot hearing who is working on the film and being like "yeah, put it in san fran and kill the dad!" is so funny to me. like i too would let a studio change my story to get julie andrews more screen time.

  My favorite quote from the books is from the fifth book where Mia thinks “is it wrong to want to be your boyfriend’s property?” Had to take a lap after reading that lol

  I was obsessed with this movie when I was like 12 so my mom bought me the books because I was a big bookworm. She bout lost her mind when I asked her what foot fetishes and French kissing meant lmao. She took all the books away and I never got to see how the story ended until now!

  Reading every book in the series was a big commitment that I appreciate!!! Meg Cabot was my favorite author when I was like 12-16, but funnily enough The Princess Diaries was my least favorite series she wrote! (not because I didn’t love it, but because I like “The Mediator” and “Airhead” books more) I got to meet her like 10 years ago as a freshman in high school, when I was at the PEAK of my love for her and she was the sweetest 🥺 I brought a huge stack of like 20+ books for her to sign, and stood last in line because I felt bad for anyone after me lol. She signed every single one!
