The Miami hard on Machine is in full force. They had no business making the playoffs over Notre Dame last year and it’s insane that way too many ND fans are like, “move on, bro.”

When has a 3 point home win in August been enough to overcome a team that was on a 10 game win streak- only 2 losses were by a combined 4 points to two teams who went a combined (21-3) during the college football season; while Miami’s two losses were to two unranked teams who finished a combined (16-8) with the second loss on November
that knocked Miami back to #18 in the CFP rankings with 3 weeks left for both teams in the regular season.

After their loss to SMU, even Miami fans thought they were dead in the water. They had their pitchforks out for Cristobal and real possibility he would atleast be on a very hot seat going into 2026. But, lo and behold, the Calvary comprises of ESPN, ACC and eventually SEC; built and disseminated narratives that head to head has to matter. It didn’t matter who was playing; ESPN spammed talking about the head to result of Miami vs Notre Dane across all their networks and social media for the final three weeks of the season.

Short story long- Heather Dinich (sp?) stinks and she completely whiffed on ND making the playoffs predictions only a few hours before Selection Sunday. Nice reporting, stupid.

Williams ain’t the dude. James and Walton need to receive more touches. Williams was given the chance to earn it and he hasn’t.

That hit on Dante is immoral. No coaches dealing with what happened is unconscionable. It reflects poorly on the assistants, the HC and the school. I feel bad for Dante for not only the pressure he has had through the recruiting process, but also this egregious hit. Hits like that can have detrimental effects on his health individually and cumulatively. Can the NCAA do anything further penalizing the offender? Expecting anything from southern cal is laughable.
