Reminder:

Dio used his ultimate Time Stop to mess with Polnareff and move him down the stairs repeatedly and gaslight him.
I repeat: He. Moved. Polnareff. Down. The stairs. Every time.
And even picked up a chair for himself.

Time stop actually effects the whole universe, the stands range is just how far from Dio the world is.

Damm Alicia wanted Kakyoin to die just to spite the "spoiler" so bad he actually died 💀

There's a phrase that the fanbase created that I really love:
"17 years of loneliness, 50 days of friendship."
Rest In Peace, Kakyoin

The sheer menace Dio exudes when he uses his ability is unparalleled

Honestly, in general, Jojo villains just sell the power and d r i p of their abilities better than most brands

Watching Alicia die inside was an inevitability with this series but it's still kinda sad.

You have to feel for Kakyoin's poor parents. Their child, who's always been rather aloof and distant, changes after a trip to Egypt, demands to change schools in the middle of the year, skips school for 50 days to go with strangers on some sort of road trip, and the next thing you know, he's being shipped home from Egypt with a hole the size of a bowling ball through his chest.

They're never going to learn the truth. Even if they could believe in something like 'Stands', it's probably easier to let them believe that Kakyoin got tricked into this situation and led to his death by Jotaro and the others, than to make them realize that they never knew that their boy was so miserable for so long.

Fun fact: In the Heritage For The Future fighting game, Cooler Kakyoin (with the sunglasses) can defeat DIO in the final battle of his campaign, only for DIO to land one final blow. Kakyoin hides his injuries from Jotaro and Joseph (who survives in this version), only to die on the plane home as Jotaro tries to wake him up.

In fact, kakyoin wasn't going to die but since Alicia wanted him to die so much for the spoiler to be wrong, she ended up changing the story and got the bad ending :(
