Umar wore simple, coarse clothes; <b>none</b> could have distinguished between the <b>ruler</b> and the <b>servant</b> .<br>As he approached Jerusalem, it so happened that the servant was on the camel and the Caliph was walking alongside. The servant had pleaded with Umar to ride instead, but he refused.   A subtle detail….AMR IBN AL’AAS and KHALID IBN AL WALEED where best friends of each other and they spent their youth together in Mecca living the good life as both were sons of rich men of the Quraish tribe…the coincidence was also that after many years they became Muslim at the same time…when KHALID was heading for the Prophet in Medina to accept ISLAM…on his way to Medina he encountered AMR and both were amazed to encounter each other there on the path that they knew would change their lives for good. It’s amazing to me that both the men after the passing of the prophet with many years have been such successful generals in their military campaigns

  I watched Copa America final, UFC 264 &amp; Wimbledon Final today. Sitting in front of my TV to watch the EURO final right now &amp; I find out Kings &amp; Generals uploaded a 2.5 hours documentary on Muslim conquests.<br><br>Seems like I&apos;ll be going without sleep tonight.
