Great side by side with same amp settings. It's the only way to do a fair comparison. Thanks.

I own the epiphone model. To be honest, I actually prefer the color of the epiphone (understanding it’s not as authentic). I plan to upgrade pickups at some point but the stick ones are far from mediocre! I’ve considered getting the Gibson model but I don’t have any complaints on the epiphone honestly…might just leave my ego at the door and just enjoy a fantastic instrument without worrying about what’s on the headstock

I have the Epiphone version. I had gotten it in February, but because I had just gotten ankle fusion surgery, I had to wait a bit to play it. I just had a setup done with a crown and fret job done, and it sounds great.

A lot of the difference between the openness can be compensated for on the epi by using the tone and volume controls to match the tone of the Gibson.

TY for the great sound comparison. The Gibson just has a better, fuller sound.

I kinda like the epiphone more in this video. The gibson is cleaner but the tone of the epiphone to me sounds great!

I really loved the guitars comparison and also both players. 👏🏼👏🏼
The Gib is better of course but not so much that better.
I own the Epi and I love the guitar. The playability, confort and the overall quality of the Epi is amazing. ❤

I have the Gibson version and it's by far one of the best guitars I've ever had. I plan on keeping it forever and the reason I went with the Gibson is the nitro finish. It will age gracefully and, if you've ever dinged a poly finished guitar, it looks like a chip in a windshield. The stock pickups are great and I'm not swapping them. I put a compensated wraparound bridge on it and the intonation is spot on. Definitely a keeper
