Seeing Charles being telepathically linked to Magneto while he was "killed" and then immediately after that, Charles is telling Apocalypse that he wished his mother killed, something completely out of character for him, had me all giddy with dreams of Onslaught foreshadowing.

X-Men 97 actually has the benefit of being able to clean up those story lines

I hope they make Onslaught even scarier than Apocalypse, which is hard to do, because they absolutely nailed how terrifying he is in the last episode.

All I know if I see a episode of X-Men 97 when Juggernaut gets knockout straight to New Jersey and starts fearing for his life after waking up then that's how I will know it's Onslaught

X-men ‘97 goes SO HARD with each episode.  They don’t waste any opportunities to expand the universe.  They use the so many visual motifs and story points we are familiar with from the MCU so they can show that Rama-Tut is using Kang’s time sphere, that they are the same person.  SO HARD.

The second after Magneto dies and Xavier gets nasty with the helmet right there in front of him. The first thing I thought was Onslaught is coming.

When I saw the last act, I started thinking I'd seen this before somewhere. But it didn't click until Charles was telepathically linked with Erik when he died. My jaw hit the floor when I realised the significance of this moment to the Onslaught Saga.
