  For the &quot;just stand there&quot; thing, the idea is that men are generally the &quot;pursuers.&quot; And if you go with the idea that everyone is someone&apos;s type, the pursued (women) just need to wait and eventually someone will come that finds them attractive. Now, self-care and the amount of effort you put into yourself often affects WHO will come, but with or without it, someone will come. It becomes a question of whether or not you want that person.<br><br>A lot of female beauty standards are perpetuated by corporations or women. A big one for me is getting nails done. I don&apos;t like it. It is a huge waste of money and, as a man, I don&apos;t care. I find long nails unattractive and would prefer if a woman I&apos;m dating DIDN&apos;T spend $100+ to get them done. On the other hand, fitness is very important to me. I exercise daily; I have good muscle definition, I&apos;m in shape. I also spend time caring for my relatively long (for a guy) hair. I want someone who isn&apos;t fat because that relates to health, fitness, and to some degree self-respect.<br><br>I think it was The Dadvocate who did a video on what men and women really find attractive in the opposite sex. Surveys she referenced found that women thought men liked significantly more makeup than men actually like. The surveys also found that women don&apos;t like as large of muscles in men as men think they do. Most men I have met like the &quot;no-makeup makeup&quot; look (where you use makeup that improves things like complexion without looking like you are using makeup).

  If a woman wants a man that is around the same general value as herself then she just needs to be a functional person. be clean and be personable. the beauty industry is around 15 actually doingthe work to improve your value so that the men you are equal to are higher as well. The other 85% is about making you LOOK like you are even higher value so you can attract a man that is actually not your equal. <br><br>Complaints bout my bluntness can be files where the sun don&apos;t shine.

If you shower atleast 2-3 times per week, dont have flaky or greasy hair and overall have basic hygiene most men will hit on you. The only people who care about that are other woman and thats how they sell these products cause woman bully other woman if they dont use them.
