  I've always been a fan of Vincent Prices episode, that was a man that could always go full ham without overshadowing everyone

  I don't remember anyone ever "hating" a muppet show episode or guest star. There was no internet back then, we didn't have message boards or youtube channels to rant about muppet show in the 70s and 80s.

  Alice Cooper was the best guest ever. He was totally at home there.

  I raise you a loved one in one of the revivals: Prince. The man who takes himself super seriously and doesn’t allow people to parody his art, he was fantastic on the show in the 90s. Above all, he seemed “normal”. Classic episode.

  Hearing everything you had to say about Joan Baez made me think of probably the last guy you would ever think to associate with bad Muppets guest stars:<br><br>Harry Belafonte.<br><br>Because he also came to The Muppets with a mission and a message. But he did two things Joan Baez (presumably) did not: Went to Jim Henson beforehand to pitch his vision, and worked with Henson to make sure they had a shared vision. The end result was one of the greatest Muppets episodes and Jim Henson&apos;s personal favorite of all time.<br><br>There&apos;s a right way and a wrong way to do everything. And it will vary depending on what that is, but if you&apos;re a guest star, it always starts with making sure the team for whom you are guesting shares your vision and allowing them to decide how to incorporate it.

  Two more I would list under &quot;Loved&quot;: <br>Christopher Reeve. He was clearly having a blast working with the Muppets, complete with Superman jokes. <br>Harry Belafonte. His performance of &quot;Turn the World Around&quot;, backed up by African tribal mask Muppets, was one of the best musical moments on the show&apos;s history. Also the bit where he told Fozzie how he was inspired to write the song was quite lovely.<br><br>Honorable mention; Michael Caine from &quot;The Muppet Christmas Carol&quot;. Not only did he treat the Muppets as real, but he treated them like they were a serious company of fellow actors. He turned in a serious and pitch-perfect performance as Scrooge, which elevated the Muppets and made them better.

  Henson chose Harry because his son Brian recommend her, because Brian had a crush on her. And one night, out at dinner, Henson had Harry sit next to Brian.

  Unfortunately, there’s plenty of celebrities from past and present that doesn’t think that The Muppets are real and yet, they think that absolutely everything from Disney is real to them. Sad and pathetic, isn’t it?

  The first season they had to beg any star they could get to come on. &nbsp;Before long they were turning HUGE stars down.
