أسرار كتاب شمس المعارف الكبرى! | مع عبداللطيف

Shams al-Ma'arif al-Kubra, the book described by British historian Owen Davies as the most influential book of #magic in Arab popular culture, and the book that entire generations were raised to believe was off-limits... but there's one question no one seems to have considered: Who actually wrote it? In this episode, we delve into the #Shams_al-Ma'arif file from the beginning: Who was Sheikh #al-Buni, the Sufi whose name appears on the cover, who died in Cairo in 622 AH, and whose tomb became a pilgrimage site? What is the "science of letters" that Ibn Khaldun dedicated a chapter to in his #Muqaddimah, and how did the state's codes emerge from these letters and numbers at the hands of Ya'qub ibn Ishaq #al-Kindi? And why do researchers who spent years studying manuscripts say that this book was falsely attributed to its author, and that al-Buni's true works are something else entirely? At the heart of this episode, we'll answer the tough questions: Why do oppressed people buy into illusions? What did Dr. Mustafa Hegazy say about superstition and oppression in his book "Social Backwardness"? And how did the warning itself become the book's biggest advertisement? Ultimately, the central question of this episode is: Is the danger in the book itself, or in what we believe about it? And why is "Shams al-Ma'arif al-Kubra" the most dangerous book in the world? Note: This episode is analytical, critical, and documentary. Any event or figure mentioned serves the historical narrative and is for informational purposes only. This episode does not encourage reading, acquiring, or acting upon anything in the book; quite the contrary. #Shams_al-Maarif #Al-Buni #Deception #Superstition #Psychology #History_of_Egypt #Documentary #History #Al-Ain_News #Abdul_Latif http://bit.ly/al-ainYT Subscribe to our official channel Al-Ain News is a comprehensive Arabic news platform, published by the International Media Investments Company (IMI).
