Just had a thought about the "pants" joke. It not only made them laugh but in my opinion showed that Chris was quick on his feet. In that particular situation the deck was stacked against him and he was under immense pressure and was still able to deliver a funny yet clever response. If I was one of those guys on the other side of the table it would make me recognize how smart he actually was in that high pressure situation.

I was hoping Will would win the Best Actor Oscar for this one. It was the first time he truly convinced me that he could act. I first watched this movie on a flight back to the United States from Japan, and that final scene had me crying for about 15 minutes after the movie was over. He was absolutely unbelievable in that role…while being totally believable!! 😄
