The sound is much better with the new mic James. Still have to get you to replumb our buffer as a volumiser, and Thoroughflush etc.

Looks good. <br>One thing you said had me confused. <br>During defrost, does the flow remain in the same direction as the normal space heating operation, or does the flow direction reverse? I assume the compressor stops during this phase. <br>I can understand the purpose of the volumiser being on the return flow if the defrost cycle flow direction reverses ( to prevent very cold water going “backwards” into the index rad) but not if the flow direction remains unchanged ( then a volumiser on the hot flow side makes more sense to prevent the first rads getting cold). I’ve a sneaky suspicion that I’m not alone in not understanding this.
