Trevor’s blinking at Eugene’s “not cool” joke about where whales die. Holding those we love accountable doesn’t have to be loud.

Trevor's and Eugene's comic genius/silliness is bigger than the podcast and all our thoughts about its content and guests. Hands up if you are here for them two. 🙋🏽‍♂️

There is an unexpected story within this conversation that shook me. Bertie's example of the time he was actually afraid- about being isolated in the arctic with an erratic man with substance use issues. His description of how that felt is what it feels like to be in a relationship/living with someone with addiction, right down to walking on eggshells when their mood shifts, trying to get away when they are not erratic, and how terrifying it is to be around them when they don't have a fix. Being in a relationship like that feels as isolating as being stranded in the arctic with someone like that. I was totally thrown off guard by this little story within a story- and it felt like a liferaft in an ocean with what I'm going through. Thank you for sharing this story! And of course save the animals. Love what you guys do, always.

I am from Namibia and I currently live in Namibia. Namibia has one of the largest cheetah populations in the world. We’re lucky to have a dedicated cheetah conservation fund doing important work here, but conservation always needs more support and awareness.

I’ve watched all of Bertie’s work and what I love about him is he connects how helping animals helps us humans. He shows the real, small actions ordinary people take that make a difference. His perspective is hopeful and that’s what draws people in and makes them want to save animals. Please have him back! ❤

The fear of wolves is 1000% a manufactured, business-related fear. So glad to hear Bertie bring this up with Trevor and Eugene

This conversation was a nice balance between the 3 of them.
Previously, I said they were still finding their footing with how to manage their friendship with including the guests. Seems like they found their groove with this one.
Love spending Thursday with Trevor

Thank you Bertie for correcting the fishing farm conservation con, this is the first time I heard someone break it down in such simple terms (only ever heard it from scientists) he really is amazing at what he does
