Thanks for this video. I was a player of I Love Bees and it is one of those experiences you can't replicate again once it is over. Even the discussion boards where we were doing a lot of the puzzle solving are gone now (they were at unfiction). Long live the Haunted Apiary...

I still have my cd and lanyard from this. Was a lot of fun to participate in. Wild times.

This sounds like some underground conspiracy like the Illuminati or something

This is what makes halo so absolutely amazing. It is so elaborate, complex and a complete experience. It's amazing. Even though 343 hasn't had the same heart in the games as bungie, I hope infinite is something that brings back some of the feel of frosted tips and tribal tattoos.

Thanks for documenting all this. All I knew about I Love Bees was the eerie site and something about public phones. I had no clue about everything else or the scale.
It should really get more credit for what it did. I still find everything about it really unsettling

I wish more developers would do this. I miss when AAA games had ambition.

I love how the team was so generous about this, that it wasn't automated messages and they searched weather reports so that one person in Florida would be able to save their life. They knew the dedication of their fans and now knowing of that one break in character was all it took to make my day.

Currently doing my diploma project on ARGs as a relatively stupid individual and this vid is genuinely saving my research. I couldn't find much and you saved the day ahah. I love this ARG so much !

God, this was a trip down memory lane. From what could've been a glorified ad campaign, the folks at 42 managed to spin out one of the best stories ever told in interactive media.

I still prefer the storyline of the Year Zero arg, it's just way too impressive for its time and genuinely poignant. The album itself ties in amazingly with the game and is incredible on its own too. It's essentially 1984 + The Handmaid's Tale in an ARG.
