Amsterdam Cruise Port Guide: Embarkation!

We took a cruise from Amsterdam I late May this year and the embarkation process was fantastic. We booked a cab through our hotel at Schiphol Airport and the driver met us in the lobby and took our baggage to the cab. In about 20 minutes, we were driven to the port terminal entrance and paid the driver the metered fare of 80 Euros. (FYI, RCL bus would cost 60 EUR without the convenience of a direct cab.) The embarkation process was very efficient and we were through the whole system in 10-15 minutes. Registration is all electronic and boarding times are scheduled in advance with capacity controlled for each half-hour block of time. This was the smoothest embarkation process that we have had in eight cruises. On our return, we took the bus to Schiphol, using a porter for our luggage. (We are both in our late 70's). Again, the port's debarkation process was seamless. Amsterdam is a great starting point.

The most informative video on the port and transportation. I've been twice before, but this time I'll be coming in by train. Train to Movenpick on the embarkation. Then port to train after the cruise. I need luggage storage, which you showed. I believe it is available at the port as well as at the Central Station. thank you for showing the walk between central station and cruise port. I believe I'm up to it, but if not, nice to know about the trolley. And you showed the slats on the way to get on the ship. Yeah, those were a bit of a pain. thanks again!
