  Can you imagine what a nice world this would be if people put the kind of time, energy, and money into the environment, animal rescue etc..as they do throwing the best party. It really is sobering.

  Saw her once in real life as she came around the corner on West 33rd Street and Fifth Ave. in a silver Rolls Royce with tinted windows! I could tell it was her because at the time I worked as a fashion illustrator in NYC and had read all about her in the trade magazines and Women's Wear Daily, the trade newspaper. She was classically beautiful with flawless skin, elegant looking for sure, but had a hard cold look about her like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth,  a frozen face! Even though I don't think she had gone under the knife at that point i.e. plastic surgery. She didn't look happy! A woman who had everything financially and had sophistication and high fashion, but the heartbreak and betrayal etc was written all over her face! Remember, artists/illustrators/painters are taught to be highly observant! One of my assignments in fashion school/fashion design/illustration in Manhattan, with an interior design dept as well, was to walk along Fifth Ave. and sketch all the designs on mannequins in the fashion retail store windows and do a report on it and to be observant of everything people on the streets and elsewhere wore, right down to the last button and stitch! We also had to study the history of fashion/costume from ancient Greece all the way up to modern times and illustrate all the fashions in great detail, the lace collars of the Elizabethan era, the jewelry, shoes, hair styles, hats etc. both men's and women's fashions as well as for children, a growing lost art in this day and age except in the theater and film world. May she rest in peace~

  She was a sophisticated woman with great connections. That’s about it. This constant focus on beauty, beauty, beauty is really annoying. She wasn’t beautiful. Beauty isn’t everything because it fades and then what? The fact that this woman was jealous of her daughter and saw her own child as competition, tells me everything I need to know. How sad.

  From the photos, it seems to me that she seemed cold and that her smiles never reached her eyes, unlike the photos of her siblings.

  Her and her peers lived totally vapid lives. All that wealth and power but what did she do apart from throw parties, vacation and sadly, ignore and bully her greatest gift her daughter.

  I was lucky to meet a wonderful man. We’ve been married 33 years. Sometimes it’s better to adopt a dog. Being in a bad marriage is miserable.

  She was a striking woman not what I call beautiful, but definitely someone whom I would linger watching while trying not to be rude. She’s like a combination of actress Jane Russell and Jackie Kennedy to me.  Stunning woman.
