Forget head tracking period, buy 2x or 3x monitors for 100$ each, 1440p, IPS, 165hz, cost less or about the same as Trackir and feels so much more natural. You want that right side mirror on the second monitor. (there are digital mirrors and dashboard mirror mods but i prefer having a full view of the truck interior without moving my internal camera.

Opentrack with a 60fps camera is average to terrible at best (too much delay), trackir was good, but nowhere near the level of triple monitors where you turn your head naturally.

Rig: Ryzen 5 5800X3D, 64gb 3600mhz ddr4 ram, 4070TI RTX, m.2 drive. 3x Xiaomi G27i monitors (asia).

Sim hardware:

PXN button box.
Moza R5 with TSW wheel.
Moza SR-P pedals and clutch.
Multi Function Stalks (asian knockoff version for 80$, only 2 stalks but more sturdy and bigger in size which is more suitable for trucking)
Logitech drive force (modified) with new resistance/range plate & truck knob (do not buy this unless modified or plan to modify, it's terrible out of the box and a waste of money).
Tablet/phone/table clamps with sim dashboard.

Game setup: ETS2 400% scaling, snowy, P-NG, huxxly Reshade with 60 mods. (i recommend a 12-16gb vram card for running reshade, project nextgen and snowy together, very gpu demanding).

I've got my rig to the point where, after playing this weekend, I was driving around in my pickup truck afterwards almost reaching for my engine brake! 😂

I used to use a USB calculator for my button box. It cost me about $12 Amazon😅

That button box you got there is really slick. Love your setup.

i use a 65 inch 144Hz TV on a Next Level TV-stand, and a few streamdecks combined with MOZA R5, + stalks + TSW on a Next Level wheel stand, a cheap gaming chair from Sharkoon and i'm good to go

This is really very nice of you to show! Thank you for breaking down how to get a great setup without needing to spend a fortune. It's very helpful for those of us just starting out with triples and looking for that extra bit of immersion.

I drive on ATS with the Moza R12. The force feedback is set at 200% and it is very realistic. I recommend the min. of a Moza R9 for real immersion. Also very good for sim racing.

This video is one of the best I have found so far! You cover this introduction to sim-driving so well! The video is really pleasant to watch and very easy to understand! Despite the fact that you sell your own products you succeeded to keep the video objective and ‘vendor neutral’! You are really focussing on getting people to feel like SIM-driving is accessible for nearly anyone that wants it. My respect! Thanks.

One super important thing, I think wheels can be super personal, and people should know it's alright to use something that isn't tied to the size of a truck wheel. If you just wanna feel the truck and its behavior, and feel like you're in command, anything works.

Probably my last bit of advice is.
If you're truly on a budget and just want a filled setup, there are a ton of arbitrary budget toys to add to a SIM setup. Whether it's screens, gadgets, and gizmos. If you want something, I'm sure something exists for it.

I guess one last note. For everyone.
Want a decent display for a rig? Grab an ultrawide monitor on a budget, or buy a used 4K TV that works. They're both really great starter tools, and I offer the ultrawide as an alternative because I know not everyone is fans of a giant screen in their face.
