A buddy was ignored after dad remarried. At one point after being ignored once too often he said to Dad, I hope your new family all gets cancer. Don't call me again. A year later, and Dad discovered the new wife was having an affair. She took him for every last penny. He looked for his son and found that his son had as well disowned him. Dad was left with nobody.
