I was raised in a completely secular, atheistic family. Not to tell younger generations about our history, traditions, religion, to forget our language it was a way of survival for soviet Jewish, but not only for us. Many peoples were forced lost their languages, their memories, their cultures. All the empires do the same thing: the make you forget who you're, to make to feel shame that you are different, to be glad to be like others. But centuries before my people also was forced to forget about it's polytheistic, pagan past and once again, as it happened with other peoples. But we have science, we have linguistics, archeology, comparative mythology, we have texts). And I going to know more about it. It really fascinating). That is my way to my roots, to obtain historical and mythological knowledge share it - it is a good way to remember those who are gone.
