Have you tried copper collector instead of lead? I think it might be better for melting and alloying precious metals. Higher temp furnace and fluxes would make smelt better and more fluid. Even pakistans melt in one go using their waste oil furnaces. No need for 2 or 3 remelts. Then use copper electrolysis or nitric to dissolve the copper pm anode and you are done.<br>Recrushing slag is good thou.<br><br>We can exchange some ideas you have nice equipment and interesting methods. I am well read from refining books and GRF. <br><br>Anyway wish you good yields from your work. 👍

When I melt the precipitate that remains after nitric acid, I see a black metal that melts at low temperatures. What is that metal and what is the reason? Is it spoiled gold?
