  The pedophile theory might have some substance to it. A 13 year old boy named Eugene Martin disappeared also 2 years later from Des Moines, Iowa. Eugene's story didn't seem to get as much attention as Johnny's.

  Interesting trivia fact.  The movie BLACK PHONE specifically mentions "Johnny the missing paper boy" in honor of this case and Noreen.  Steven King's son wrote it and wanted to have him mentioned specifically.  That means soo much.

  Noreen has been a force of nature not frequently seen. It’s so bad that the years have gone by and no answer for her looks forthcoming.

  Many of us around that time, at that age, had paper routes.  Myself, my brother, a few of our friends all delivered newspapers.  It wasn't long after this that paperboys stopped being a thing, really.  So sad for all involved.

  The fact that two other paper boys disappeared within a few years in similar circumstances I think points away from Johnnie’s family .  I was friends with a cousin of Eugene, his family was utterly shattered by his loss .  Growing up in Des Moines this hit close to home.  Would love to know what happened to these boys some day but after all these years I don’t suppose we ever will

  Eugene Martin and Marc Allen also went missing from West Des Moines all around the same age all two years apart. Somebody was hiding the bodies well, and none ever found. I think the same person is responsible, a local predator/s

  Paul Binacchi actually provided some evidence that shakes me; when he was taken to a location where he claimed to have been held, they actually found initials and names carved in the basement / cellar area. It was suspicious, to be sure.

  Born and raised in Iowa, about 3 hours from Des Moines.  I was a paper boy too when this happened.  Freaked me and my parents out.  Was lucky enough that my dad helped me on Sunday mornings.  This case has stuck with me all my life.  I think this in a huge trafficking ring that involves very powerful people.  So hope this case gets solved someday.
