  Hi Tom i am 79 and have read lots of material on how to play piano practice scales and chords watched loads of utube tutorials, going through alfreds adult piano books and now have come across this video. &nbsp;Thought i would try it like all the other stuff i have seen and heard. After 20mins of playing one note in my left hand and random n otes in the c scale as you suggested i sort of got carried away and suddenly it took off and started rocking, WOW! Never had that feeling before. I now understand when people say the music is in you and not outside in books and endless study. Your lesson has totally redefined my perception of how to enjoy this fantastic instrument. Thank you so much

  Hi Tom, I&apos;ve been playing for 55 years and can read music and play just about anything I can read....but, I can&apos;t improvise, at all. So, I&apos;m going to take the challenge. Thank you!

  I’ve done this exercise for 12 days so far and it’s really wonderful. Please make more 30-day challenges! I’m one of those many people who studied classical piano for years but never learned how to just sit down and play. I spent the last couple of decades singing in choirs and as a solo singer of non-Western music, and had no desire to return to the piano—until last summer, when I discovered the blues, and suddently wanted to play again. I bought a keyboard and started from scratch with chords and scales, everything I missed first time around. The concepts and exercises in this video are helping to take me to the next level, and I’m having lots of fun. Many thanks!

  Nice, clearly articulated, and well built progression of exercises. Anyone not versed in improvisation, I would HIGHLY encourage this exact video exercise over and over. To you who is here wanting to learn, and serious, do this and see your playing change for life. What qualifies me to say that? I have played piano &nbsp;almost 40 years, and improv since a lad, has always always always been my favorite jam. And SO MUCH of what he is kindly sharing is exactly how I progressed over the years. It is the completely the same. And to you good Sir who made this video, so happy to see someone sharing this info with those in the seek. Excellent lay out, well done. Cannot pick it apart at all, reminds me again, of how I grew, and continue to always. Nice job, you are a well spoken teacher. My blessings to you overflowing! This is the stuff, and the path, to improv right here, one of the best I have seen produced. &nbsp;The road can continue obviously to infinity, and I drive it every day. I encourage any and all who desire, to commit to the same. And it just keeps building ;)
