With only 4 episodes left for the Solo pre-evolved Pokémon, we are entering the era of middle-evolutions

Back when I was a kid I worked out that wrap uses a full move when I was poisoned by a youngsters Ekans that kept using wrap, and I was getting double damage. So after that, I decided my tactic was always to get a Bellsprout, keep wrap as long as possible, teach it the toxic TM, and then beat everyone with the most evil, pure gen 1 strategy possible 😂

16:10 - “A lot of you are Gen 1 experts,” says the guy who has posted like 120 Gen 1 Pokémon runs to his YouTube channel, each specialising in a different Pokémon. Most humble man on YouTube.

I thought weepingbell was a golf bag when I first seen it. That evolved into a vacuum cleaner.
A child's imagination is something.

Growing up I had a poster from a Pokemon magazine.
That poster had a mistake, claiming that Weepinbell had a higher base stat total than Mewtwo, and of course, I believed that it was real

16:10 - While it only explicitly states the case on Bulbapedia for gen 2 onwards, looking at the code (disassembly project), gen 1 also ignores the burn effect on a critical hit. Comment from line 4179 in pokered/engine/battle/core.asm reads "in the case of a critical hit, reset the player's attack and the enemy's defense to their base values". I can't read assembly too well, but that seems pretty clear cut.

I'm not gonna lie until about 5 episodes ago I didn't realize the number of the run is in the "rating box" on the thumbnail. 120+ viewed and counting. Great work, makes my day
