  cody nominating himself after weeks of seeing marc survive the chopping block had my jaw on the GROUND the first time i watched it. incredibly risky play, basically telling gordon to stop keeping marc for content when he should have been gone weeks ago

  Michael’s sabotage is probably the most elite move. It had the tacit approval of Scott there and then, was admired by Gordon, and would go on to become a defining feature of the penultimate dinner services for all subsequent seasons.<br><br>Also, I wish they kept the confessionals for Gordon and Jean-Philippe. It’s cool to see their personal views on the contestants and competition.

  No matter how many times I watch it, Cody&apos;s play amazes me. I feel like most self nominations backfire on contestants, but Cody played it so carefully. He didn&apos;t say he was ready to go home, he didn&apos;t say he deserved to be eliminated, he said he was ready to fight for his position. That phrasing and attitude as well as his performance compared to his other teammates that night essentially protected him from elimination and forced Marc&apos;s elimination. Truly a 500 IQ play.

  Michael was a mastermind in season 1. He was smart, cunning, clever and eliminated the strong chefs and made them look dumb constantly. He played everything exactly right

  The whole Elise and Jennefier thing is so funny to me. It&apos;s like Elise is easier to eliminate than Jennifer so they threw Jen under the bus so that its easier for them to slide by elimination.
