  I live in Buffalo, NY and I have to say about the winter is that its either 1, Absolute insanity with supplies, plow, and driving and especially other people being idiots or 2, a easy chill inside weekend or half a week with extra supplies for stocking up and some fun shoveling. All you have to do for freezing pipes is run hot water every so often until the water is hot and then its all good. You got to check it and make sure. Number 1 problem is Black ice, Icicles, and dumb drivers who like to drive fast on streets with ice. Power outages happen but you charge your phone and make sure your good, just like a bad thunderstorm

  Also it snows in georgia and sometimes in northern florida. &nbsp;But theres plenty of pools in north carolina so theres things you can do about that in winter
