After listening to this performance - how ever many hundreds of times since it release, - I know, - I for sure KNOW - I`ll never get tired of it.
And every listen I`ve had to this during these last 10 years (it was first released in september 2016 as Angelina was 10,
still barely 9 when recorded though) I never whent into it for the song itself.
After I heard it by Angelina for the first time, - then it became all about the awe and admiring over her performance.

👣You`re right about she`s still all a child as it comes to her voice, at least every now and then inbetween of phrases.
Still - she do show us that her vocal toolbox is quite compleet already. Her musicality and her musical understanding
is quite mature even at this age👣

This song is as old as myself, so I knew it rather well back in the years, even though it was never a favorit, despite it`s kind of ikonic status.
Angelina for sure made it come to life again to me, after a few decades of no listen or even thoughts of it at all.
My first question was how and why would a 9 year old girl ever hook up on such a song as this one. I am confident that Angelina`s musical mind
made her musicaly fascinated deep into her "old" young soul. She sure was equipped for it, and this performance is surely
to become a classic, if it not already has become one .
To me it has, and it ranks VERY high on my heavily packed "TOPP 100" list of AJ performances 🤗

Thank you for seeing the different path she took with this song .She kept it close to the original without the comic relief .She put more blues into it I think .She has always known whet her interpretation of a song is and does what she feels the song requires. She is a musical genius

Started singing at 1½; started recording in a modest studio at 6 or 7 (I lean towards 7, others think 6); started performing in public venues at 7 (AFAICT); sang on TV for the first time at 7 (although she was 8 when it aired); and probably started doing paid gigs at 8.

You're exactly right. She's using techniques that take seasoned professionals decades to master and she got it down.
