How you can make a year's worth of progress and make music with the triads in less than 30 days 🎸
https://youtu.be/pEch3oDnoBo

It's also a cool idea to play with the frequencies available across all the 6 strings and the fretboard. Can be a lot of fun. But you have a point too: when the low end is already there, you can skip the low E & A strings. Guess there's a time and place for everything.

As a blind beginning guitarist, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your articulating the Fret and finger placement. Most tutorials provide a tab diagram without explanation. Thank you very much!

This is exactly where I am on guitar. I look forward to putting in the hours on this.

Connect all 4 shapes of each triad together and you have an arpeggio 🤯

Connecting/seeing Triads and arpeggios unlocked the fretboard for me big time. Great lesson, as usual. Thank you.

I really love how concepts like triads that drove me crazy to learn them are simplified this much. Great Job Man !!

Here's why I'm glad I learned CAGED... we all learn our open chord shapes first, and learning where the roots of each shape are should be next. So CAGED doesn't have to be memorizing that whole crazy chart; it's just learning to arrange the open shapes by wherever their root needs to be (and recognizing their sequence on the neck as a bonus). Then you have all these already familiar open chord shapes to hang all your newly learned triads on, but now they're anywhere on the neck that you need them. That's how it's been working for me anyway.

    Excellent video.
If I may add something here as it may help someone.
A and G are really 1 shape as is C and D , while E shape is a beast of its own .
Triads are really super important…just take the time and practice them .
You can practice them by playing some songs you already know and just play the triads .
These are what I would call the “practical “ CADED shapes .
Good video young Man !!

I've been taking lessons for about a year and a half. My teacher is teaching me triads on the same 4 strings and it's opening a whole New World.
