  I notice the quality when I first put in a dvd, but once I get into the movie I don’t notice anymore.

  There are a lot of movies that are only available on DVD.... If you dont get the DVD then your never going to have it..

  Buying used, curating your collection with things YOU watch, and utilizing DVD are great options for cheap. I&apos;ve been buying used movies for cheap on DVD, and its budget friendly, and to me the quality isn&apos;t great but its not distractingly bad. Love my 4k and blu ray collection, but honestly, a $3 DVD is worth it if it means Im doing more mindful spending.<br><br>Im also grateful that I buy what I like instead of buying it just because a boutique label released it.

  i prefer jellyfin over plex lol. &nbsp;i buy my physical media and then i rip to a server machine so i dont have to always handle the discs

  Best thing about DVD&apos;s is that you can easily watch them through a computer. Blu Rays require additional software and constant updates. I grew up in the 80&apos;s and DVD quality looks fine to me.

  I&apos;ve been collecting Physical media for years now. I&apos;m 54 and retired so I&apos;ve been adding to my DVDs, CDs, Blu Ray and Games . I&apos;ve Curated a collection of Entertainment that affords me an Aesthetic in my Man Cave. I&apos;m surrounded by Memories and Nostalgia. I&apos;ve lived too long to adapt to a digital world entirely. And I like the idea of Ownership and the Visceral and Tactile experience. It all adds up to a Great Value proposition.😊

  Be like me: spend a lot of money on your home theater set up and your discs AND save up to get massive storage solutions and a disc ripper so you can load your library on to a plex server.

  What I don&apos;t like is when people say they prefer physical Media because it&apos;s not as compressed as streaming and then they rip it, &nbsp;then compress it for their server. 😂

  Dvd is fine for me. At my local thrift stores they are 0.25-0.50 cent each. Really fun way to collect them for these prices
