  I used to think that being a good person was enough to avoid getting hurt. I was polite, patient, kind… until I was exhausted by relationships that made me feel indebted for my kindness. <br> <br>This video isn&apos;t a call to be cold – it&apos;s a wake-up call to know how to live with boundaries. <br> <br>“Kindness without discernment is foolishness.” <br> <br>That sentence hit me straight in the heart like a knife of awakening. From now on, I will not give up kindness – but I will protect it with sharpness. Because kindness without clarity… is just bait for manipulators.

  A coworker of mine always asked me to do favors for him, at first it was just small things like can you lend me a pen. Then he started asking for bigger and bigger favors, one day I just said &quot;do it yourself, you&apos;re always asking other people to do things for you&quot; he tried to guilt trip me in front of everyone, but I was just silent. <br>After that he never asked me to do anything for him again.<br>Be wary of people asking you to do favors to them, always make a mental note of it and how often it happens.

  It is a phrase &quot; Dont be so understanding that you ignore the fact you are being disrespected&quot; changed the way I perceived people and started to understand that I am being manipulated.
