In defense of the Daiya... my wife was diagnosed with a dairy allergy some years back and while it does taste awful, she nearly cried when I found this and made it for her because she thought she was doomed to a life without mac'n'cheese.

As a Canadian, I always assumed KD was exactly the same as Kraft Mac and cheese. My world is shook.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVho4PLF6iE&t=388">6:28</a> you absolutely cannot make the Canadian mac & cheese according to the actual instructions on the box. I’m not sure why they’re so horrible but if you follow them, it always turns out watery like that. Every Canadian knows to ignore those instructions and has their own way of making it. I just add a tablespoon of butter and then put the cheese powder in. It works perfectly.
