X-men 2 Clone Wars was a really impressive looking game in the Genesis as well.

I got to olay these gsmes as a kid. I remember firing up Altered Beast in second grade. The Genesis and Super Nintendo had so much quality and fun in their games. I miss this era. PS. I'm gonna have to play Phantasy Star 4 again. An absolute masterpiece.

I like that you presented the games all as equals

As a Gen Xer who played most of these games in the early 90s, I approve of this list 👍

We all knew these were 16 bit and we weren't at all surprised because that's what games look like back then. Sometimes we got surprised with better graphics, and other times we got surprised when a port of something completely fell short.

Alien Soldier looks like a game that would've been on NEO GEO.

Some of these games look almost Neo Geo quality. It's insane considering Megadrive came in 88 and was always relatively cheap!

Rocket Knight Adventures and Sensible Soccer get my vote.
