Bình luận Quốc tế: Iran nêu 7 điều kiện, vì sao Mỹ muốn “hạ thủ”? | Houthi tiếp sức Trump? | BNC Now

Iran has put forward seven conditions for resuming negotiations with the US, while hostilities and military pressure in the Middle East continue to escalate. Tehran says the conditions were conveyed to Washington via Qatar and is awaiting a response from President Donald Trump. Among the publicly stated demands are an end to hostilities on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and the lifting of the US naval blockade. But while the door to diplomacy remains open, the big question is the extent of US military pressure. What signals is Washington sending? How likely is a large-scale offensive being considered, and if it occurs, will the real target be Iran or the broader power structure in the Middle East? The program also analyzes Israel's role in the conflict, as the confrontation with Iran continues to impact the regional security balance. At the same time, Saudi Arabia faces an increasingly complex dilemma: protecting its territory and strategic infrastructure while maintaining its position in a region rife with hotspots. In particular, the Houthi rebels are becoming a significant variable. Recent developments in Yemen and the Red Sea region are adding pressure on Riyadh, while US-Houthi contacts show Washington is still seeking limited channels to manage risk. Reuters reported that the US held a secret meeting with Houthi representatives in Oman in mid-September; meanwhile, the Houthis continue to expand their control in several strategic areas of Yemen. So where does the strength of the Houthi revolution lie? Why can a force without military capabilities comparable to major powers still exert pressure on vital shipping lanes and energy interests in the region? In other developments, Türkiye and Pakistan signed a joint defense agreement with Saudi Arabia in August, but the question remains whether these cooperation mechanisms are sufficient to shift the security balance. And behind it all is the story of the Abraham Accords. Washington continues to push Muslim countries to participate in the normalization process with Israel, while Saudi Arabia still links this issue to conditions related to the path towards a Palestinian state. Is Iran truly making concessions, or are the seven new conditions merely a tactical move to reopen the door to negotiations? Will the US choose military pressure or return to the negotiating table? And if the Houthi continue to pressure Saudi Arabia, how much will the Middle East landscape change? All of this will be dissected in today's expert commentary by Van Phong! ---------------------- BNC Now, the leading global news platform, serving the Vietnamese community worldwide.
