  The 3 things I love about this that the video showcases:<br><br>1. The adaptability of the Danish people. If something isn’t working or is producing negative results - change it. <br><br>2. Not being afraid to admit that maybe you were wrong in your initial approach. <br><br>3. A focus on the youth and producing healthy citizens by tackling the problems that plague their development.<br><br>Many other countries can learn from this.

  I’m a developmental pediatrician. I’m very happy to hear that there is an educational system that honors paper and pencil. There are parts of the brain that need to be stimulated to develop and grow and scrolling and tapping and typing definitely do the reverse.

  This is a HUGE public health intervention that can only be good for the people of Denmark. I wish we did this everywhere. What a different world we would live in.

  I suck at learning digitally. It can be convenient but having to physically do something it helps me retain info so much

  In Finland, replacing paper and pen with equation software in high school math education has been the biggest mistake we’ve made. Yes, modern math tools can and should be used but only after students have mastered mathematical thinking, where paper and pen play a crucial role.

  I was an Army instructor for our Master Leader and Senior Leader Courses. &nbsp; I was there at the introduction of MLC. &nbsp; In a pilot program, we first assigned laptops only, and saw terrible results. &nbsp;We then added one simple thing—a handout printed packet of the module being taught. &nbsp;The presentation was not changed at all. &nbsp; We immediately noticed that the majority ONLY followed along with the paper packet and readily used a highlighter. &nbsp; Scores shot up. &nbsp;I’d walk amongst the class during instruction and see that many of the laptops had timed out to screensaver. &nbsp;<br>There is just something primal about having words on paper in your hand.

  Honestly the phone ban makes sense. I can’t read two paragraphs without drifting to notifications. even when I’m writing in OIovka I have to mute everything.

  This is great news. I’m a first-year high school English teacher in the US, and I only give my students paper assignments. Many of the other teachers at my school, in every subject, have gone back to paper. The computers the school systems have forced every student to use are extremely distracting, and kids just don’t learn as well when they read on them. Not to mention they are tempted to use AI far too often to complete assignments. A lot of students tell me they prefer to read on paper.
