  Im glad i found your channel.  Working on building up to having friends again. Its sad but ive had to cut so many friends off fo the same reasons... and now the MENNNNNS!  The struggle is real! I pray it get better for all of us. I wasted so much time trying to make it work with the wrong ppl.  But knowing whats wrong  with yourself and others us sooooo real!!! 😂

  I've been where you are with relationships many times. But I can't imagine having to do it abroad. I wish you nothing but the best in finding your people. I'm a fellow neurodiverse baddie. We tend to have a harder time finding our people but I also think that our community is more solid when we do. Your discernment is your protection. Keep that (although it sounds like yours isn't going anywhere and I love that for you). I am married and I finally have found my people. I will say that what has helped me is that I started having people prove to me that they are giving before I start giving. I stopped treating people to things until they treat me 1st, etc. I also tend to cut people off. I prefer deep friendships more than surface ones. However, if a person doesn't make me concerned for my safety and I enjoy their company, it's ok to have an acquaintance to just watch a movie, go to lunch with, etc. Same with dating. When I dated, I did so more casually a lot and found that to be really fulfilling at times, when I was dating the right kind of people. Casual does not mean lacking any form of respect and treatment for me. I also look specifically for the neurodiverse people. The ones that have to step outside during a party, fidget a lot, get easily excited, seem a little different but not dangerous, etc. Starting with people that present as neurodiverse has saved me a lot of time trying to vet people.

  They take from you but then give to the wrong people and then complain that they don’t have real friends. SMH! Heavy on the destiny swap and secret competition even men be in competition with you. Smh! After having back to back betrayals by people I considered my “sisters” I’m scared to even let anyone else get that close to me but it’s like can’t let a few folks have you close your heart off because then that’s lonely. Also, people don’t be having self awareness at all.
