All I need to make furniture is an entire furniture company. Good to know.

Im a professional cement mason, or concrete finisher. I also do decorative stuff- stain, polishing, sealing etc. For someone that doesn’t do concrete you got it pretty spot on. Home depot bagged concrete with a little extra portland is a good, creamy mix and will be plenty strong, especially with low mix water and plasticizer, thats a perfect mix for precasting like that. Next time you can lightly vibrate the sides of the forms to get rid of some of those pinholes. Adding the color to the mix water first was also a pro move. Don’t listen to the haters, they don’t know what they are talking about.

Attention span hasn't been ruined by tiktok yet :) - Awesome storytelling! Keep up the good work.

The overhang isn't there to hide your mistakes. It's there so when water spills over the side, it doesn't run down the side of your cabinet and ruin the woodwork.

🧤 I honestly didn’t expect to watch this video in its entirety, but not gunna lie . . . your greatest skill IS storytelling. And huge kudos to the effort you put into recording and editing your footage. It’s so smooth, that it feels serene. ✨✨

When I built my first home, my wife was pregnant with son #2. Knowing how boys are... heck, kids in general, I built their end of the house with a Jack & Jill bathroom designed like a locker room. Floor/walls/ceiling were entirely tiled, stainless floating counter with sinks, and stainless industrial toilet stall. The crowning feature was an old school floor length urinal. My wife thought it was soooo tacky, but learned to love the way I did everything because cleaning their bathroom was literally a 5 minute job. I would put diluted bleach and detergent in a Thompson sprayer, pump it up, and hose every surface down with bleach. Let it stand for a couple minutes, then rinse it all down the drain with an extra long shower wand I installed in the shower. A quick wipe of the mirror was the only thing that took any effort. Turned out to be a hell of a conversation piece too. When we sold the home, the husband and his two grade school aged sons walked in there and started laughing and high-fiving each other as if their dreams had all come true.

I don't care about gloves, but every youtuber seems to be pre-empting negative comments, which gets tedious fairly quickly. Let the haters hate, and the lovers love. Awesome project and really engaging voiceover too.

I wonder what would happen if you try a massage gun (or something similar for this work) to vibrate the bubbles out of the concrete during the process so that there are minimal holes to fill after removing the mould.

Glove emoji after finishing: 🧤

Gloves - I appreciate the honesty of keeping your mistake in the video and how you attempted to fix it. That's probably the most useful parts of the video for people looking to learn the art.

Criticism capture, next time, try Rapidset mortar mix instead of Quikrete. They are the company that makes that plasticizer that you bought. Their product is 200 times better and is stronger for what you built. It has no lumpy garbage in the mix, has much more strength, and when combined with the plasticizer it pours and leaves itself like water with affecting integrity. It is only sold at home Depot. I used it for all of my kitchen counter tops and would never go with anything else. To prove strength, I poured a single top for my bar without wire or rebar. It's 6'×2' and is 1.5" thick. It's been there for 6 years with no cracks or breaks. I poured them in my front yard using the exact same method as you. Oh yeah, I poured those slabs in one day and popped them out of the molds and carried them in after about 3 hours.

The level of detail on their woodworking is so incredibly satisfying.
