  Genetic drift?<br>Please cite your source. <br>I have an AK47 mother plant that was selected in August 1996 and still produces top-quality cuttings and flowers, just like on the first day.<br>Every 6 months, a cutting is turned into a new mother plant, and this has been working for a good 30 years now without any problems or loss of quality.<br>That’s just an opinion being passed off as fact when it comes to genetic drift.<br>Usually by people who have trouble growing even a single successful batch and never work with their plants for more than maybe a few months. <br>Why don’t you show off your plants, Pro!

  You are just wasting space and probably time keeping moms. You might as well clone from a clone from a clone from a clone because whether you do that or you keep Mother plants the genetic age of the plant is still the same.It&apos;s an annual plant that&apos;s supposed to have a life cycle and you are keeping it alive well beyond that , cloning or keeping mothers makes no difference. You will get the same genetic drift and degradation either way so you might as well free up the space.
