  I'm not going to apologize! DMX is far and away the Best Rapper I've ever heard and to be truthful I'm not a rap fan at all .but DMX is just completely magnetic,charismatic ,spell binding,call it what you want but you just can't take your eyes off this guy .I'm deeply saddened by his passing.

  I never once thought X sounded like or copied Onyx. The only thing they have in common is aggression. Onyx seemed like chaos to me whereas X controlled his aggression and let it loose or held it back when necessary.  Plus X is just far more talented than Onyx put together IMO.

  Every east coast rapper around this time was rapping with a rugged style. That’s what east coast rap was, rugged. West coast rappers became the party dudes and east coast picked up where nwa left off. I don’t think DMX was biting off of onyx. Onyx was a sick group too. I think both just wanted to be the scariest sharks in a sea full of them
